2 weeks pregnant
At 2 weeks pregnant you are ovulating, and this is when conception can happen. If an egg is fertilised, it starts dividing on its way to your womb. You won't have any pregnancy symptoms yet.
What's happening in week 2
Towards the end of week 2, one of your ovaries releases an egg. It lives for about 12 to 24 hours. Sperm can survive for up to 5 days, so sex in the days before ovulation gives the best chance of pregnancy. If a sperm fertilises the egg, it becomes a single cell called a zygote, which starts dividing as it travels down the fallopian tube.
Signs of ovulation
- Clear, stretchy, slippery discharge, like raw egg white
- A positive ovulation test
- A slight rise in body temperature after ovulation
- A twinge of pain on one side of your lower tummy
